Finally I have my first Errol filly! (New) Balance entered the world this morning 4 weeks overdue. 'Balance' because my other 2 Errols have been Nike and Puma, and Nike got his name because when he was born he had the most perfect Nike swoosh on his forehead, hence the name, and it's kind of gone on from there.... Balance's mum is B Grade mare Cliche, who is by Nice Balance (so there's another connection!), and hung on to this foal through EI last year, and then for some time after her due date. It was a relief to see the lovely leggy bay filly this morning.
Off to Nowra today. All the kids think it's hysterical that I won't be riding (I'm only a teensy bit too old...), because I'm gonna be nuts just being on the floor, but I think I will be okay...
